Howdy,
At
first, we were skeptical with iPowerWeb’s generous offers at such
prices, their responsiveness in terms of customer support and many
other things. We first reviewed iPowerWeb’s service two years ago.
After a short time, we stopped the evaluation due to a few advertised
features that didn’t live up to their advertisements or our
expectations.
However,
after keeping a close eye on them until now we decided that they have
advanced considerably, which lured us to re-list them and give them a
second shot.
In
terms of pricing and getting what you paid for, they are pretty good
compared to many others. Their one price, one package policy makes it
easy for people who are new to web hosting to get started. We have yet
to check out how easy it is to upgrade and add features to your current
account, but I imagine it shouldn’t be too difficult. Most of their
systems are pretty easy to use. |

iPowerWeb
is co-locating their servers with AT&T Global. To date, I have not
toured their data center so I cannot say for sure if everything that
they promise is actually true. AT&T Global's data centers are
protected from intrusion and failure by multi-layered security, full
redundancy, diversity, and rapid response recovery measures. Their
center has 2N (dual, fully redundant) Uninterruptible Power Supply
(UPS) systems. They ensure no single point of failure throughout the
backup power system.
iPowerWeb
rates best when it comes to connectivity and speed. They recently
formalized a partnership with AT&T to be their new upstream
provider. Their Data Center is now integrated with the highest
performing OC48/OC192 IP backbone available. If you are looking for
Speed, this might be the right place for you However, don’t forget to
take the other points into consideration as well.
In
terms of customer service, my experience with iPowerWeb was not bad,
however, not too good either. Their team can be reached 24 hours a day,
seven days a week. If you need immediate assistance, however, it is
probably not fast enough to have an email answered after 24 hours. The
person on the phone line was friendly, but not much of a help when we
were pretending to experience a technical issue with our hosting
account with them. That was probably just a one-time bad experience
because when we checked it out another few times, we did get a very
good and helpful response even via phone.
The Hosting Chart hereby awards iPowerWeb the #9 Web Hosting Rank.
